Individual Membership

Price: $335 per year

For lawyers in private practice who devote a substantial portion of their professional time to the representation of businesses, insurance companies, and/or their insureds, associations, or governmental entities in civil litigation.

Young Lawyer Membership

Price: $195 per year

For lawyers who have been admitted to the bar for five years or less. Learn more about becoming a Young Lawyer.

Government Membership

Price: $175 per year

For lawyers employed by a governmental entity, and who devote a substantial portion of their professional time to the representation of governmental entities in civil litigation.

Senior Membership

Price: $65 per year

For DRI members who are 65 years or older and not actively engaged in the practice of law, and have maintained membership in DRI as an "individual member" for at least 10 consecutive years.

Law Student Membership

Price: $20 per year

For full-time law students. This membership includes:

• Complimentary registration to all DRI seminars and Annual Meeting.
• Committee membership for the Young Lawyers Committee.
• Exclusive publishing opportunities in our national publications For the Defense, The Voice and The Brief Case.

Affiliate Membership

Price: $125 per year

For CLE managers and marketing professionals who work for defense-oriented law firms of all sizes.
Please note the affiliate program is only available to those professionals of firms/companies with DRI members in good standing.

International Membership

Price: $335 per year

For international lawyers in private practice who devote a substantial portion of their professional time to the representation of businesses, insurance companies, and/or their insureds, associations, or governmental entities in civil litigation.

When joining online, the application process is the same as "Individual Membership."

Seminar Attendee Membership

Price: Varies

For first time DRI members who have attended a DRI seminar within the last 60 days.

Corporate Counsel Membership

Price: $335 per year

For licensed attorneys who are employed exclusively by a corporate or other private sector organization for the purpose of providing legal representation and counsel only to that corporation, its affiliates, and subsidiaries. This membership comes with free attendance to any DRI seminar or webinar* if the in-house counsel joins DRI’s Corporate Counsel Committee (at no charge).

SLDO/NDO Membership Offers

Price: Free*

For lawyers who are a member of a participating State and Local Defense Organizations (SLDO) or National Defense Organization (NDO). From time to time, DRI partners with SLDOs/NDOs on membership offers.

Corporate Group Membership

Price: $500 for four employees per year; each additional member is $150 per year
