Fidelity and Surety
About the Committee
The Fidelity and Surety Committee provides numerous opportunities for individuals involved in the practice of surety and fidelity law to gain and share legal information. The committee's small size provides for a collegial environment to develop practical skills in this specialized area of the law.
The Fidelity and Surety Roundtable is held each year in May in Chicago. In past years, a lively group in excess of 50 attendees, including many surety company representatives attend the program.
The Roundtable provides a forum for a lively and informative discussion on various aspects of surety and fidelity bonds. The night before the Roundtable, the attendees gathered for a great networking dinner. A majority of past attendees agree that our Roundtable is the most informative and interactive surety program that they have ever attended. Plans are already underway for this year’s Roundtable.
Publishing opportunities abound in our committee, including writing for our semi-annual committee newsletter, Bonding, which produces timely and well written articles for the committee. Our committee has published an excellent series of articles in the Committee section in For The Defense. As always, we enthusiastically welcomes all inquiries for articles.
