Chicago has a long history of art and culture, and you can see it on display at any number of museums and art galleries throughout the city. From the iconic Field Museum of Natural History and the Art Institute of Chicago to smaller galleries like the Zhou B Art Center in Bridgeport, you can find plenty to do and see here. For those who prefer modern art, The Museum of Contemporary Art is also worth a visit and located just down the block from Chicago’s iconic Water Tower. Outdoor Activities

If you’re lucky enough to plan your visit during the warmer months, Lake Michigan is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day. There are plenty of beaches to choose from—whether laying in a hammock with a book or renting a paddleboard is more your speed. Even in the colder months, the Chicago Riverwalk or the lakefront are great places for a walk or a jog—just keep an eye on the weather! If you’re more of a biker, the North Branch Trail or Bloomingdale Trail (otherwise known as the 606) are perfect for a long ride. Get your steps in by window shopping up Chicago’s Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue, or take a stroll through the Lincoln Park Zoo, which is free for everyone!
