Thanks to DRI President Douglas Burrell and DRI Center for Law and Public Policy President Toyja Kelley, along with Gardner Duvall, Chair of the Center’s Legislation and Rules Committee for their testimony this morning before the Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence in support of proposed amendments to Federal Rule of Evidence 702. They elaborated on DRI’s recently filed comment expressing the belief that the proposed amendments will help lawyers present qualified experts, as well as oppose witnesses whose qualifications or testimony do not meet clear requirements.
