Dear Members/Attendee,
We hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
Unfortunately, we saw a new COVID surge in our communities during the holiday season. As the pandemic continues to impact you both personally and professionally, DRI remains dedicated to finding ways to best serve you, the DRI member. DRI will continue to represent the civil defense bar as well as offer our members in-person programming. We understand and respect that the decision to attend in-person programming is a deeply personal and ever evolving one. As a result, we wanted to provide you with a brief update on DRI’s 2022 approach to in-person events.
Since June 2021, DRI has safely and successfully hosted thousands of our members at numerous in-person seminars while adhering to Covid-related federal, state, and local guidelines. To continue to offer our members and the civil defense bar the gold standard of in-person legal programming throughout 2022, DRI staff and volunteer leadership will be monitoring all aspects of the pandemic, including, but not limited to variants such as Omicron. Prior to moving forward with any seminar, we will assess all relevant information in consultation with staff, volunteer leadership (Committee, DRI Executive Committee, Law Institute) and governmental authorities. DRI will continue to make adjustments to seminar policies and rules where necessary to protect those in attendance.
Thank you all for your support in these uncertain times. We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation, and we wish you and yours a healthy new year.
Warm regards,
Dean MartinezDean Martinez
