As we move towards a post-pandemic era, the practice of law is very different today than many of us imagined it could be. Even before the pandemic, women often faced greater barriers to partnership and leadership than their male colleagues and women of color faced even greater barriers. Now that work policies and practices are in flux, we are facing new questions about careers for all women lawyers. What types of firm culture are we returning to? How will hybrid work policies affect women, especially women with children, women of color and women from various cultures? Why are so many women lawyers experiencing burnout and what structures can leaders put in place to minimize the impact? What can women do individually and together to enhance retention and move up the law firm ladder?
Our speakers have completed comprehensive new research to answer these questions, and will share their insights and experiences as they lead us in an interactive and engaging workshop. We will learn and share ideas about creating pathways for success, what we can do as individuals, and how to leverage support from colleagues and clients.
A WITL Committee business meeting and networking reception will follow the workshop.
