Adam I. Cohen, CISSP, CEH, is a Managing Director at Berkeley Research Group LLC in New York. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and former practicing attorney who for more than 20 years has advised clients on the intersection of technology and law, including cybersecurity, electronic discovery, and information governance. Adam has authored several books and his work has been cited in several landmark federal court opinions. He has served as a court-appointed neutral eDiscovery expert in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York and is an active member in professional organizations and educational institutions.

Michelle Thurber Czapski is a partner in Bodman PLC's Detroit and Troy, Michigan offices. Ms. Czapski is a commercial litigator with specialties in complex commercial cases, insurance litigation, and the defense of class actions. She is the current Vice Chair of the Commercial Litigation Committee, and is a member of the DRI Center for Law and Public Policy and the Class Action Task Force. Ms. Czapski is a frequent speaker and author on commercial and insurance litigation topics.

Donald (Don) A. Daugherty, Jr. is a shareholder in Godfrey & Kahn's Milwaukee, WI office. His practice includes representing manufacturers, IT companies and their customers, health care providers and systems, insurers, and financial institutions. Mr. Daugherty received his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Northwestern University Law School. He clerked for the Honorable Roger J. Miner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Daugherty serves on the Governor's Judicial Selection Advisory Committee and is Vice President of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association. He has been consistently recognized as among the "Best Lawyers in American" and Wisconsin's "Superlawyers."


The Honorable Stephanie Dawkins Davis
US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan

The Honorable Stephanie Dawkins Davis is a U.S. Magistrate Judge. She began her career in products liability and commercial litigation at Dickinson, Wright PLLC. She left private practice to join the U.S. Attorney's Office, E.D. Michigan in 1997, where she served in both the civil and criminal divisions. She prosecuted cases at both the trial and appellate levels, and spent time as a deputy unit chief, high intensity drug trafficking area liaison and the Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney before her joining the bench in January 2016. Her career honors include the State bar of Michigan naming her a 2015 Champion of Justice. She is a 1992 graduate of Washington University School of Law and a 1989 graduate of the Wichita State University.

Sean M. Marotta is a senior associate with Hogan Lovells' Appellate and Supreme Court practice. Sean has briefed and argued personal-jurisdiction cases in the Colorado Supreme Court, Texas Court of Appeals, New York Appellate Division, Federal Circuit, and elsewhere. He is also among counsel for petitioner in the pending Supreme Court personal-jurisdiction case Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. v. Superior Court. The Honorable Dennis M. Robinson, Jr. was an active member of DRI while he was in private practice. The Governor of Maryland recently appointed him to the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. Prior to his appointment in November of 2016, he handled a wide variety of business litigation matters, including class actions, contract disputes, employment law, real estate litigation, environmental matters, and civil rights litigation. He was also an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

Jon A. Schroeder is an Area Vice President of Surety at Arthur J. Gallagher, located in Rolling Meadows, IL. He has 19 years of surety underwriting and brokering experience. In that time, he has facilitated the surety needs for some of the country's largest corporations that are routinely involved in complex litigation and court proceedings. Jon is an active participant in the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, the Construction Financial Managers Association, and several other local boards.


Brittany M. Schultz

Brittany M. Schultz is an attorney in Ford's Office of the General Counsel. Brittany joined Ford after a career as a trial lawyer and partner at the Dykema firm in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She has tried numerous cases to verdict. Brittany attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and graduated in 1997 with a degree in Psychology. She attended the Wayne State University law School achieving her law degree in 2001. She will share Ford Motor Company's experiences with challenging personal jurisdiction in several cases since SCOTUS issued the Walden and Bauman decisions.
