Lawyers for Civil Justice
As explained on its web site, “Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) is a national coalition of defense trial lawyer organizations, law firms, and corporations that promotes excellence and fairness in the civil justice system to secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of civil cases.” Its principal goals are: 1. Promoting balance and fairness in the civil justice system 2. Reducing costs and burdens associated with litigation 3. Promoting more predictability and efficiency in litigation DRI is a member organization of LCJ, participates in its leadership, and is aligned with LCJ goals, priorities, and efforts. Because of this partnership, the Center for Law and Public Policy maintains a distinct committee to act as a conduit for information and to support and promote joint actions of the two organizations.
