DRI’s Medical Liability and Health Care Law Seminar will provide two days of cutting-edge instruction targeted at defense attorneys, claims professionals, risk management personnel, in-house counsel and new lawyers. The 2013 seminar offers advanced presentations by a distinguished faculty of physicians, lawyers and professionals in the health care field. The program will include relevant and up-to-date topics concerning issues currently facing both the medical and legal fields. There will be excellent networking opportunities, as well.

* In order to qualify for the in-house counsel member rate, you must be a member of DRI and the Corporate Counsel Committee.
** Any DRI member employed as a claims professional by a corporation or insurance company, who spends a substantial portion of his or her professional time hiring or supervising outside counsel in the representation of business, insurance companies or their insureds, associations or governmental entities in civil litigation, will be entitled to free attendance at any DRI seminar.

The registration fee is $745 for members and those who join DRI when registering and $975 for nonmembers. The registration fee includes course materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks and networking receptions. If you wish to have your name appear on the registration list distributed at the conference and receive the course materials in advance, DR I must receive your registration by March 1, 2013 (please allow 10 days for processing mail registrations). Registrations received after March 1, 2013, will be processed on-site.

A limited number of discounted hotel rooms have been made available at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach, 4525 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida 33140. Please mention the Medical Liability and Health Care Law Seminar to take advantage of the group rate of $299 Single/Double. The hotel block is limited and rooms and rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You must make reservations by February 19, 2013, to be eligible for the group rate. Requests for reservations made after February 19 are subject to room and rate availability.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS

No special discounts are provided for the Diversity for Success or Young Lawyers Seminars, Fidelity and Surety Roundtable, Defending Drug and Medical Device Litigation Young Lawyer Primer, the DRI Annual Meeting, or any non-CLE DRI meeting. For most other seminars, the first and second registrations from the same firm or company are subject to the fees outlined above. The registration fee for additional registrants from the same firm or company is $60 off the member rate, regardless of membership status. The group discount rate for DRI International seminar is $50 off the member rate and $40 off the member rate for Product Liability Conference and Drug and Medical Device seminar. All registrations must be received at the same time to receive the discount.

REFUND POLICY

The registration fee is fully refundable for cancellations received on or before March 1, 2013. Cancellations received after March 1 and on or before March 8, 2013, will receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made after March 8 will not receive a refund, but the course materials on CD-RO M and a $100 certificate good for any DR I seminar within the next 12 months will be issued. All cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing. Fax to DR I’s Accounting Department at 312.795.0747. All refunds will be mailed within four weeks after the date of the conference. Substitutions may be made at any time without charge and must be submitted in writing.
