Bad faith claims against insurance companies are filled with risks and traps for the unwary. It is crucial that insurance professionals at all levels know what it takes not only to defend against these claims successfully once they are brought, but to avoid them in the first place. DRI’s Insurance Bad Faith and Extra-Contractual Liability Seminar will provide attendees with valuable insight into a variety of issues that confront practitioners and claims professionals in the bad faith arena. Learn how to handle discovery relating to claims manuals and training materials, receive an overview discussion of cutting-edge judicial decisions, and hear a lively panel discuss how to develop and maintain a winning relationship among all members of the defense and insurance team. * In order to qualify for the in-house counsel member rate, you must be a member of DRI and the Corporate Counsel Committee.
** Any DRI member employed as a claims professional by a corporation or insurance company, who spends a substantial portion of his or her professional time hiring or supervising outside counsel in the representation of business, insurance companies or their insureds, associations or governmental entities in civil litigation, will be entitled to free attendance at any DRI seminar.

The registration fee is $745 for members and those who join DRI when registering and $975 for nonmembers. The registration fee includes course materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks and networking receptions. If you wish to have your name appear on the registration list distributed at the conference and receive the course materials in advance, DRI must receive your registration by May 16, 2013 (please allow 10 days for processing mail registrations). Registrations received after May 16, 2013, will be processed on-site.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS

No special discounts are provided for the Diversity for Success or Young Lawyers Seminars, Fidelity and Surety Roundtable, Defending Drug and Medical Device Litigation Young Lawyer Primer, the DRI Annual Meeting, or any non-CLE DRI meeting. For most other seminars, the first and second registrations from the same firm or company are subject to the fees outlined above. The registration fee for additional registrants from the same firm or company is $60 off the member rate, regardless of membership status. The group discount rate for DRI International seminar is $50 off the member rate and $40 off the member rate for Product Liability Conference and Drug and Medical Device seminar. All registrations must be received at the same time to receive the discount.

Cancellations received after May 16 and on or before May 23, 2013, will receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made after May 23 will not receive a refund, but the course materials on CD-ROM and a $100 certificate good for any DRI seminar within the next 12 months will be issued. All refunds will be mailed within four weeks after the date of the conference. Substitutions may be made at any time without charge and must be submitted in writing.
