Welcome to Retail and Hospitality, DRI's newest substantive law committee! The mission of the Committee is to provide preeminent legal education and professional development, as well as first class networking opportunities specific to the Retail and Hospitality industries. We are happy to report that the inaugural Strictly Retail seminar earlier this year in March was a huge success and we have already started work on Strictly Retail 2011 that will take place in Chicago next year on May 11-12. This committee will not only support the Strictly Retail seminars, but will also develop a program that focuses specifically on the Hospitality industry, as well as developing a newsletter, articles for The Voice, For The Defense and Webcast programs. One of our committee's central mission is to foster greater communication and partnering between the "in-house" team of attorneys, risk managers and TPA's that defend and manage civil litigation and claims, and their outside panel counsel.
Our first task is to get your help in carrying out the goals and mission of the Retail and Hospitality committee by persuading you to join as a member and volunteer for one of the many leadership positions available. Now is your chance to get in at the "start-up" phase and get involved if you practice within the retail and/or hospitality industries, or if you would like to network with those already involved in this practice.
We are excited about what Retail and Hospitality can achieve and invite you to join the committee and get involved.
