Committee Overview

The Technology Committee is one of the most diverse committees within DRI. The committee is comprised of individuals whose backgrounds are as varied as their practices. Technological issues have had a significant impact on all substantive practice areas. The committee strives to meet the needs of its membership by keeping them apprised of recent legal rulings and to educate the membership in the use of new technologies in order to increase operational efficiency, reduce overall costs and facilitate a better internal and external communication with customers, clients, other counsel and the courts.

The committee actively seeks individuals looking to become involved. Committee participation provides the opportunity to speak publicly at various DRI conferences and webconferences throughout the year. The webconferences are specifically tailored to address recent legal developments with presentations by seasoned litigators.

The committee also provides excellent platform to showcase your writing skills. The committee’s newsletter, E-News, is published quarterly and the committee submits a series of articles to DRI’s monthly magazine, For The Defense. These articles offer a scholarly analysis of recent developments and trends in the law.
